Highly purified salts are essential to avoid corrosion when operating at extremely high temperatures.&#xA;ACU is part of the Natura Resources Research Alliance, along with the Georgia Institute of Technology, Texas A&amp;amp;M University, and the University of Texas at Austin, which is working to license and deploy the Natura MSR-1, a 1-megawatt thermal Molten Salt Reactor.&lt;br&gt;&#xA;Copenhagen Atomics has collaborated with ACU for over five years on technology&#xA;development, sharing expertise and advancing MSR technology. This is called load following. Most solid fuel reactors do not have this feature, therefore they need a different kind of control and management. Signature May 19 in Denmark is last step ahead of the final agreement. &lt;/h3&gt;&#xA;&lt;p&gt;Four Danish companies, Topsoe, Alfa Laval, Copenhagen Atomics and Aalborg CSP, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the ammonia producer Pupuk Kaltim, together with Pertamina New &amp;amp; Renewable Energy, both of which are owned by the Indonesian state, about building a facility in Bontang that can produce one million tonnes of ultra-low emission ammonia per year. This is enough to produce fertilizer for the production of food for 45 million people, approx. one sixth of the Indonesian population. &lt;br&gt;&#xA;In the next 6 months, the final examinations must be completed and the legal landscape in Indonesia should be fully mapped. &lt;br&gt;&#xA;The plant will save the emission of 1.7 million tonnes CO2 per year compared to natural gas based fertilizer production. &lt;/p&gt;</description>
